Login cookies
We use cookies to keep you signed in and help protect your account. A normal tour-admin sign-in uses a browser-session cookie and expires on our server after 24 hours. Some browsers restore session cookies when you reopen them, so always sign out on a shared device. If you tick “Remember me for 30 days” when signing in, we store a login cookie on that device for up to 30 days from sign-in. This is optional and off by default. Signing out removes the login cookie and ends that session; resetting your password ends all your tour-admin sessions. Your password is never stored in the cookie. The separate website-owner panel uses shorter sessions and two-factor authentication. Temporary cookies also help complete sign-in. Blocking login cookies will prevent account access.
Browser preferences and demo
Your chosen theme is stored in browser local storage until you change it or clear site data. The optional demo stores fictional tour changes in local storage; it does not contain your live workspace. Clearing this storage resets those local choices. Private passenger manifests are not cached for offline use by a service worker.
Website statistics
To improve our public website, our own server counts public page views and estimates unique IPs using aggregate counters. No IP address, IP hash, persistent visitor identifier or individual browsing history is retained in the analytics database. Broad referral categories, such as Google or direct visits, help us understand which pages are useful. We do not collect search terms, full referring links or URL query strings. These statistics are not used for advertising, profiling or cross-site tracking. Private tour, bus and account pages are excluded. Choose to exclude your visits below.
Third-party pages
Stripe’s hosted checkout and customer portal may use their own cookies for payments, fraud prevention and session security. Their notice applies when you open those pages. Bus Mum does not embed third-party advertising or analytics trackers.
Your controls
You can block or remove cookies and site storage in your browser. Blocking necessary authentication cookies prevents sign-in from working. Use the Website statistics control below to exclude your public-page visits from our aggregate statistics, at any time and free of charge. We store only your on/off preference in this browser, not an analytics identifier. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control also exclude visits. Counts already merged into anonymous totals cannot be linked back to you or removed individually. Contact support@busmum.com for help.
